Mission & Ethos Home

General Religious Education

Religion has played a major role in political and international events over the past few years. In today's world, understanding religion and theology, the differences between faiths and cultures, what unites us and what divides us, is important as never before.

Building religious and cultural acceptance is essential for peaceful co-existence in any society. Despite the secular appearance of society, the vast majority of the world's population profess faith in some way in their lives. This RE course will give you skills to debate critically the key topics concerned with various religious and faith positions and to understand more about Catholic faith, culture & mission. Crucially, this course will help you discern your own faith position or particular perspective on life, gain new skills and develop spiritually, emotionally and intellectually as well as giving you an opportunity to meet new people and gain friends.
