Students are involved with various groups including Fair Trade, CAFOD, Faith and Justice and supporting many charities including the Diocesan charity, CARITAS – Diocese of Salford.
Through the RE and Chaplaincy there are various groups on offer. These include the Social Justice Group, which offers the opportunity to get involved with charities and campaigns that tackle injustices locally and throughout the world. The Social Justice Group also does a number of fundraising events throughout the year. There is a weekly Life Explored group that meets at lunchtime to discuss issues raised by students, often using video clips to prompt discussion. There is a weekly “adopt-a-street” street-cleaning group that aims to keep the immediate area around college free from litter and works in collaboration with a local church and primary school.
