A significant number of students progress to drama school or continue with drama related degrees. More than 50% of students each year go on to study drama related courses at university or to drama schools throughout the country. However, students of many other subjects find the transferable skills that are acquired in drama invaluable to their intended area of work or study.

100% of the course is assessed through coursework and practical assessment in Lower Sixth. In Upper Sixth you get the opportunity to develop your directing skills in addition to building on performance skills acquired in Lower Sixth. You will develop performance skills, investigate performance styles/techniques through different practitioners, you will visit the theatre and watch plays critically, you will study five plays over the two years from a performance perspective and you will devise your own piece of theatre.

General college entry requirements. (See page 10 for details.) In addition, you must also have a strong interest in performance-based work and be willing to take part in a number of public performances. You should have at least a Grade C in English Language.
