BA (Hons) Religious Studies & Theology

Holy Cross University Centre provides a unique model of student support for those studying for their degree locally.

Starts September 2010.

  • Taught sessions take place one evening per week, over 4 years part-time, with additional independent study.
  • Day and times to be confirmed.

The course is in partnership with Liverpool Hope University.


 
Who is this course for?

Theology and Religious Studies is a wide-ranging degree course that attracts students from a multitude of religious, social, educational and geographical backgrounds.

What do I need to get onto the course?

Typically:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above
  • 240 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 2 A2 levels or equivalent.

or

  • Level 3 qualification
  • Study within the last 5 years
  • Experiential learning (eg work based)
  • Student paper (dependent upon experience)
  • Personal statement and assessment

The course provides opportunities to apply for further professional training such as initial teacher training - Religious Studies and Theology will be considered for both primary and secondary PGCE, management, Masters degrees, PhD etc.
