You are not alone: We’re here to help you tackle exam stress

We know exams season is incredibly stressful, but please remember that as a Holy Cross student, help is always available and there will always be someone you can speak to for support.

We've listed the various ways you get support at Holy Cross:

  • Urgent Counselling (Upper Sixth)
  • Wellbeing support (all students)
  • Togetherall (all students)
  • Free breakfast (all students)
  • Revision Tips and Advice

Urgent Counselling (Upper Sixth):

Our Counselling team has set up a booking form for any Year Two students who need to speak to someone urgently.

Please ask any member of staff – whether that’s a teacher, Progress Tutor or at Student Services – for the referral link to book time with Joanna.

Counselling

Wellbeing support (all students):

Our wellbeing service is available for any student, and this is delivered on a 1:1 basis (usually a meeting once a week).

This support is tailored to your individual needs and focuses around forming good habits and developing healthy coping strategies, while offering you a safe space to offload anything that’s having a negative impact on you.

Our team will also signpost students to external support services where relevant and can refer you to our Counselling service if that’s more appropriate.

If you'd like to access any form of wellbeing support at College, please ask your Progress Tutor for a referral or by contacting the team directly by email.

There’s also lots of self-help resources available on Moodle: Course: Wellbeing Moodle.

Togetherall (all students):

Everyone at Holy Cross has access to Togetherall – it’s a digital mental health support service which is available online 24/7 and is completely anonymous so you can express yourself freely and openly. You just need to register/login using your Holy Cross email address.

Professionally-trained staff monitor the community to ensure the safety and anonymity of all members.

In addition to Togetherall's online community, you will have access to a wealth of useful resources and can work through tailored self-help courses covering topics such as anxiety, sleep, weight management, depression and many more.
