Some of our Faith Ambassadors and Student Representative Committee (SRC) members represented Holy Cross at Bury’s annual community cohesion event, Collabor8, on Wednesday 30th July, organised by Greater Manchester Police.
The students were excellent ambassadors for their various faiths and spent time answering questions from members of the public (and our local MP James Frith) and explaining how their faith impacts their lives.
They also helped to create a huge display of painted hand and thumb prints to spell out the tag line of the event, Strength in Diversity.
The event was a wonderful celebration of the diverse community of Bury, and a testimony to fact that we have more in common with one another than that which divides us.
