High grades at Holy Cross College increase by 5% on Results Day

Results Day 2025: High grades at Holy Cross College have increased again, beating pre-Pandemic levels to reach 51%.
High grades (A*-B) in A Levels and Distinction Star (DS*), Distinction (DS) and Merit (ME) in BTEC have both increased at the College compared to 2024 – from 46% to 51% for A Levels and from 95% to 97% for BTEC Extended Certificates.
Results released today also show that more than three quarters of grades achieved are A*-C, a significant increase of 9% points over the last two years.
The pass rates for both A Levels and BTEC qualifications have remained high at 98% and 100%, with an increased pass rate for the Level 3 Applied Diploma to 99%.

- 1247 individual A*-B grades (high grades) achieved in total (1090 in 2024)
- 100% pass rate for Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), 92% with high grades
- 100% pass rate maintained for all Level 3 BTECs
- 97% high grades (DS*, DS and M) for the BTEC Extended Certificate
- 100% high grades (DS*, DS and M) for the BTEC Extended Diploma
- 359 DS* and DS grades achieved
- 460 DS*, DS and M grades achieved
