A Level high grades and pass rates at Holy Cross College increase again on Results' Day

Results' Day 2026: High grades (A*-B), pass rates and A*-C grades at Holy Cross College have all increased.

Headline results:

A Level

• 99% pass rate at A Level
• 52% high grades (A*-B) achieved
• 62 students achieved at least 3 A*/A grades at A Level
• 515 individual A*/A grades achieved
• 1180 individual A*-B grades (high grades) achieved in total
• 100% pass rate maintained for Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), 95% with high grades

BTEC

• 100% pass rate for all Level 3 BTECs
• 95% high grades (DS*, DS and M) for the BTEC Extended Certificate
• 100% high grades (DS*, DS and M) maintained for the BTEC Extended Diploma
• 230 DS* and DS grades achieved
• 345 DS*, DS and M grades achieved

High grades = Distinction Star (DS*), Distinction (DS) and Merit (ME)

High grades (A*-B) and the overall pass rate for A Levels have both increased at Holy Cross – to 52% for A Level high grades and to 99% for the A Level pass rate.

The pass rate for all BTEC qualifications has reached 100% this year, with high grades (Distinction Star, Distinction and Merit) at 95%. For the BTEC Extended Diploma, the pass rate and high grade rate is maintained at 100%.
