Holy Cross provides excellent refreshment facilities for staff and students from either the main refectory or 'Coffee Central'. Whether you fancy a hearty breakfast, a healthy salad or simply one of our famous cookies, we have something for everyone.
All our food is produced to the highest standards of food safety, using only quality and safety assurance audited suppliers. We only use ingredients of the highest quality, freshness, and food safety integrity. Fresh fruit and vegetables are delivered daily by local green grocers, along with our dairy bakery and butcher suppliers, including a selection of fair-trade ingredients and products.
We are making the move towards a more eco-friendly focused service, using more recycled products for service and using locally sourced ingredients enables us to reduce our carbon footprint.
Open from 8.15 a.m. to 2.15 p.m, the refectory offers staff and students a comfortable, spacious indoor space in which to eat, drink and socialise.
There is a range of delicious light meals, and appealing hot and cold food prepared and sold on site throughout the day, staff and students are able to view 'this week's menu' on the Holy Cross intranet 'Moodle'.
Open from 8.15 a.m.-2.15 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 3.30 p.m.- 8.30 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday.
Coffee Central is a refreshing modern open space for staff and students to eat, drink and socialise.
Service includes paninis, sandwiches, wraps, deli salad boxes, pies, pasties, cakes, confectionery, tea, coffee and cold drinks.
In addition to the ‘Refectory and Coffee Central there are a selection of vending machines around the campus offering a variety of snacks and drinks for staff and students who are on the go.
We do try and cater for all dietary options so that there is something for everyone, but sometimes this is not always possible. Please ask a member of the catering staff who will be able to advise.
