With exams fast approaching, one of our teachers has shared some essential guidance to help Holy Cross students feel calm, organised, and fully prepared on exam day.
This video highlights the key points, but please remember it’s only a brief overview:
What you need to do before your exams
Taking a few minutes to check your exam details in advance can make a huge difference to how confident and settled you feel on the day.
Please make sure you:
- Check your exam timetable on MyView
- Confirm all your subjects, exam dates, start times, room locations, and seat numbers
- Check your personal details, including your legal name, to avoid issues with exam certificates
- Make sure your mobile phone number and contact details are correct, as we may send important exam‑related updates
Knowing where you need to be and when will help you arrive calm and ready to focus.
If you feel unwell on exam day
We hope everyone remains well throughout the exam period. However, if you do feel unwell:
- If your symptoms are mild, you should still try to attend the exam and do your best
- If you have a serious illness or injury and are unable to attend, you must contact the college before 8:30am on the day of the exam
Please email the Exams team at: exams@holycross.ac.uk
Exam Day Reminders
On the day of your exam, remember to:
- Arrive at least 15 minutes early
- Set off in good time to avoid unnecessary stress
- Stay calm, organised, and confident in what you know
We wish all our students the very best for the exam season. Go in prepared, stay focused, and show the examiner just how capable you are.
